Plenty of flower petals and flower crowns
In the film, Marigold flowers are really prominent but I chose rose petals for a Valentine’s Day party! I found these awesome faux rose petals at my local dollar store and paired them with flower crowns like Tia Rosita and lots of the ladies in the Land of the Dead wore in the film!
Heart-shaped papel picado
We all know how central Mexican papel picado is to the film Coco. It is afterall how we learned all about Miguel’s family history! For Valentine’s Day, I thought I’d go with white hearts and make my own Papel Picado.
I made mine out of heart-shaped doilies and ribbon, but if you want to buy pre-made heart shaped Valentine’s Day Papel Picado, shop now on Amazon here!
Fun Day of the Dead Photo props
Remember how Miguel had to disguise himself as one a skeleton to blend into the Land of the Dead? Use fun sugar skull photo booth props for your Coco Valentine’s Day Party.
